Yesterday was SG National Day. Well, didnt go anywhere at all coz everywhere would be crowded. Ok, it was partial truth. The other reason was I was busy helping my bro to amend his academic stuff since Saturday evening and was too tired to move my butt out of the house.
SL came over to give me a helping hand in this. He was donning a white and red t-shirt. How patriotic! He stayed on till the National Day parade was over.
Was wondering did anybody actually join in the pledge at 8:22? After all, it was a nation-wide / international campaign with the posters pasted in MRT stations, etc. Well, I could say that I did recited in my heart...tsk tsk...I would really like to go out at that moment to see whether anybody did stopped in their tracks and started reciting out of curiosity. Had read the papers and was reported that not many people joined in. Kinda sad...
For this year's show, there were 10 chapters of the show from the humble beginnings to the modernity of the country. One of the chapters entitled 'Little Red Dot' was performed by the Soka Women Division and really thought the dance movement and the costumes were very ladylike.
Overall, I really thought that this year was a theatrical treat coz the creative director was Ivan Heng who was very much involved in arts circle in SG. Now, the long weekend had ended and it was back to reality.
