Am I whining too much?

In this economic crisis, I'm part of the statistics. Had went to another trial and not heard from them. My frens were suggesting to show them my blog address to show them my hidden 'talent'. Would like to but do they care?

I know I do whine about my lack of cash and the living standard in SG is horrendous high now. With the pathetic money, I really find it hard to survive.

My mum pulled an article about written by Lee Wei Ling. Here is a summary about the article. It was about a lady who suffered cancer and worked everyday so that she could earn overtime pay. She earned SGD 1,370 / month for working 67.4 hours / week. Her income would be sent back home for her children's education. Seriously, how many of us would face this challenge with good spirit and with no self-pity and bitterness.

Allow me to quote the last two paragraphs of her article (reference to May 31, 2009 The Sunday Times).
Stoic philosophy ~ Epicteus, A Greek Stoic philospher who lived in the first century stated " I must die, But must I die groaning? I must be imprisoned. But must I whine as well? I must suffer exile. Can any one hinder me from going with a smile, and a good courage, and at peace?

When facing adversity, it's not what happens to you. But how you react to it that matters. People are not disturbed by particular events as such, but by the view they take of them.

What she said was true coz many a times, when we point our fingers at others, the remaining fingers will still be facing your direction. Everything starts from one's self.

After reading this article, I really felt ashamed about myself coz it's all about mindset especially during this economic crunch. At the end of the day, we humans do have wonderful survival and adaptability skills.

PS: My sincere apologies for the lack of entries as well as pixs.
