When I woke up today, an interesting piece of news caught my eyes. It screamed "MJ is dead". As usual, my mind is still in sleeping mode. I thought it was a prank of some form or some publicity stunt. After all, MJ remained in obscure for a period of time. Reality set in when I had spoken to SL, then I realised that the news was true.
This was the legend that rocked MTV and I'm reckon everybody remembers his music videos such as " Thriller", "Beat It", "Billie Jean" and "Black or White". His MTVs had transformed everybody's imagination. It crossed boundaries like gender, race, generations, etc. His trademark of dance such as moon walk and crotch-grabbing that got everybody trying to copy his moves.
His fashion was his single sequined glove, tight military-style jacket and aviator sunglasses were trademarks second only to his ever-changing bizarre appearance.
After the 80s, his appearances and actions appeared even weirder such as molestation of children, dangling his kid for the world to see, brief marriages to Lisa Marie Presley, owning exotic animals in his Neverland Ranch, the color of his skin, the shape of his nose and etc.
Before he could make a comeback...
Now, the world's greatest entertainer has 'gone too soon'. May you RIP, MJ. You will be missed.
PS : I like the MTV 'Scream' - collaboration of him and Janet (his little sis). It's so cutting edge...
Thanks, MJ! You've made me realised that change starts with the 'Man in Mirror'. It's a pity that I couldnt catch his concerts when he was in town coz it was too expensive.
