A Sad Week in History :(

There are many sad news this week...Perhaps, I should stop whining about problems of mine. Coz there are many other things to be worrying about.

First, it will be the issue of firing missiles from North Korea. Yup, it's maynt be happening near your backyard but it's happening to mine. It's simply crazy as dont underestimate of their technology(not just their military) coz some countries dont even have such technology. In order to see a man's true color, simply just give him power and moolah.

Received another sad piece of news, Christian Lacroix has filed bankruptcy. Another victim in this economy crisis. Had visited the museum and experience his artistry in designing. It's a bit hard to imagine though we keep hearing the fashion houses are suffering losses but not to the extent of bankruptcy.

Of course, there is a patient 0 for H1N1 in SG.

What a week!

My Not Exactly Cheap Sunday

Wanted to dress up for this outing. However, the weather was cruel. It was hot and humid to even take the public transportation. There was no difference when I was in the train. It was just as hot. Fortunately, I managed to seek comforts of the air-con in the National Museum to view the exhibits from the museum featuring The Christian Lacroix - the Costumier exhibition. Well, the entrance fee is SGD 8 and I didnt pay a single cent coz I had waved my student pass.

Arriving the exhibits rather early coz we wanted to join the guided tour at 1630 hrs. Suddenly there was a huge crowd emerging from nowhere and followed the guide. Argh! Really hated to go to the museum during the weekends as it was simply covered with families and kids running around screaming. The noise was so bad that we simply couldnt hear what the guide's voice. Some of the visitors were busy talking among themselves. It was kinda distracting. After the tour, we decided to take a round by ourselves.

The exhibit closed at 1800 hrs and we decided to head to Tao's restaurant (one of our favourite haunt). SL and I decided to have a nice treat monthly and this was one of them. Then I decided to go shop around at my favourite shops located in PS. Bought a nose pack from Daiso and a twit jacket.

To my horror, one of the buttons is gone and cursing at myself for not checking the tweed jacket thoroughly. Argh! That's not exact a great ending of my Sunday! Just wanna call the store asap. Cant wait for the sun to rise!

Culturally inclined?

Besides watching movies, one of the things SL and I like to do is to catch a play, go museum, etc...trying to be 'cultured'.

Both of us used to be amateur dancers. No, we didnt met through dance but through a mutual fren who is getting married (will blog about her later). We are attracted to dance theme musicals or movies.

Last year, SL surprised me with a pair of tickets of Ballerina Who Loves B-Boy and the performance was at Esplanade.
The simple story is a ballerina falls for a B-boy and gradually goes into his world as well as becoming a hip-hop dancer herself in the final scene. The whole story is done through dance such as hip-hop, poppin' and breakdancing and all these are performed by Koreans. Very interesting to see such exciting performances.

Planning to go for The Christian Lacroix - the Costumier exhibition and it's on display outside France for the first time. So looking forward to it. Have a wonderful weekend, everybody!
