"It's hard being left behind. I wait for Henry, not knowing where he is, wondering if he's okay. It's hard to be the one who stays."

Watched TTW last night with SL and I've cheated by watching instead of finishing the book which was bought by SL. Was somehow drawn into the idea of time travel though I cant change anything but I'm able to visit my past to tell 'the person" that everything will be fine when looking into the future. However, there are so many drawbacks. Perhaps, my loved one is too tired of waiting just like the female character and simply give up on me if the love is not strong. I maynt remember my 'current' situation as I've already gone through the ordeal when I've revisited it at an older age. Another drawback that I could think of is being naked resorting to steal clothes or even die during awkward situations which is quite sad. Perhaps, the other party has to wait for you to appear all the time and it's difficult to move on with life not knowing when the time-traveler would appear. Overall, it shows that love transcends time and conquers all.
Extracted from both the book and The Odyssey by Homer
Now from his breast into his eyes the ache
of longing mounted, and he wept at last,
his dear wife, clear and faithful, in his arms,
longed for as the sunwarmed earth is linged for by a swimmer
spent in rough water where his ship went down
under Poseidon's blows, gale winds and tons of sea.
Few men can keep alive through a big surf
to crawl, clotted with brine,on kindly beaches
in joy, in joy, knowing the abyss behind:
and so she too rejoiced, her gaze upon her husband,
her white arms around him pressed as though forever.

Hi feanorayomi, thanks for the encouragement. Hope you have enjoyed it. BTW, I've cheated to to watch the movie first and read the book later else it's lost in translation. Hope this helps.
