While most people are busy discussing, betting and familiar about this session of American Idol. Honestly, I cant wait for the whole season to be finished. I really loathe this show coz I lose SL during this period (he insists to watch it through both Channel 5 and Star World). No dates during the mid-week. Argh!
American Idol finalists Kris Allen (dubbed as the dark horse / underdog) and Adam Lambert ( a hot favourite to win) will faced off during the two-night finale. The judges seem set to 'make' Adam win. Based on their comments, there will be no surprise. Well, there's always a chance that the underdog may win. Remember Clay who did better than the winner.
I'm not slamming Adam. Frankly, I do think that he had grown bigger (meaning fatter) since the beginning of the competition. Perhaps, it's due to stress. Yes, he's got to the showmanship due to his theatrical background but he seems to be using the same formula for several songs already. Not exactly refreshing and it's getting a bit stale. The first song was Mad World and it was first sang by Tears for Fears ~ I really like this group. It was not as haunting as before. I liked his version however I liked previous performance as compared to the finale. Perhaps, this is the only song that he wasn't screaming. (I do have frens and relatives who are crazy about Adam)
I could hear the fans saying who am I to criticize. Yes, I am nobody and my vote doesnt count. Would really hope that this American Idol could make it as far as several of the alumni such as Kelly, Carrie and 2 Davids did and not disappear in thin air. This batch of contestants do have potential.
Of course, counting down to have a normal routine with SL again.
PS: I do think that Kris has the down-to-earth personality. It's kinda endearing.
