Finding Love

Many times in this lifetime, we are constantly bombarded with the idea of getting married and having kids of a certain age. In some parts of the world, if you are unmarried of a certain age, you will be labelled as over aged as well as old maid. It's a sad point of view even though we are embracing the modernity aspects of life.


Is looking for love difficult? I do know of a gf who was heartbroken countless of times and hadnt let her heart rest for a period of time. Finally, she met her hubby when they were students. There was an impression but both of them went on their own separate lives. Their frenship was rekindled when her hubby came back from his studies. During that period, her heart had a good rest. Three years later, they got married last weekend. I saw her pain all this while when she was looking for love and that was before she met her Hubby. When she first told me about her hubby, I knew she had found the one coz her face was glowing and gleaming with joy. Very happy for her.


In the movie "He's not that into you", ladies are constantly finding love and trying to figure out what the male counterparts have say especially when the guy mentioned things like "Will call you later." Usually, this doesnt translate anything. The poor girl would look at the communication devices several times of the day just to make sure that it worked. Crazy but it's true. Some ladies tend to read too much in the messages to look out for sure signs of the directions of the relationships. Being frens of such ladies, we tend to be protective and keep telling them that these guys will call. Deep down, we do wanna believe in fairy tales. Hey, wake up to reality coz these arent gonna happen. Truth has to be told.

I have 2 very nice and wonderful gfs. One is an entrepreneur while the other is a Masters graduate from Imperial college. Both dun put on airs despite of their background and I'm honored to have them as my frens. They are very nice peps but they are unattached. I do know that they are trying hard to get attached. Secret wishing them to be attached soon. Not trying to advertise but they are good gf materials.

My words of wisdom to them are dont go looking for love coz love will ultimately find you in all the strange and unexpected places. I have personal and other's experience of this. Ultimately, we'll become the exception of the beholder one day.
