Keep on writing?

Keeping a blog is not easy and sometimes it can be tedious. Coz there's a enormous need to provide fresh and creative content to your readers not just any normal content.

I'm glad that I'm born during this period though sometimes I dont reckon so. Reason is I'm able to see changes in the mentality of people towards bloggers. There are so many types of contents available to choose and read from. These could range from personal rantings like mine to specific topics like finance etc.

That's not all. People are more receptive to bloggers and even sponsor them products endorsements. Sounds attractive...not necessary coz it's lotsa hard work and creativity involved to keep the blog alive so that it can entice the readers. Can you imagine there are thousands of new blogs entering this blog sphere everyday fighting to get readers attention?

The other thing bloggers have to keep in mind is sensitivity in the content. Perhaps, I'm stay in SG and everybody is 'tolerant' of each other. Hence, I've to be sensitive as well coz I'm pretty sure there is a slight hint of racial discrimination in everyone of us coz of our diverse backgrounds and unique cultures. The funniest thing is my parents want healthy babies. However, we get to know the cultural and racial difference when we grow up. We start to point out how a particular race look like, behave, etc. Dont you find it strange?

Recently, we had seen that bloggers had changed history such as the recent election in Malaysia. The power of bloggers is enormous and the age of thoughts and speech freedom is not too faraway (for some countries who still reply on traditional mediums). Some of the bloggers dont have the training of journalism and it's a power not to be ignored or denied. Some traditional mediums practitioners still dont recognise there's a new way of thoughts. In addition, there's twitter and it enables ordinary citizen to update daily activities whether it's just mundane or important. The world is becoming a global village as coined by Marshall McLuhan. But there's a need to use it cautiously as "with great power comes great responsibility."

As for me, I'm glad and happy that there are people out there who support me though it's slowly garnering readership. This is a form of encouragement to me as it will help me to continue writing. Even if there's only 1 reader, I'll still writing. Thanks for reading.

PS : Thank you to all of you for visiting and following my blog : )
